Wines now in Japan include Stag's Leap, Ravenswood, Ridge, Rosenblum, Rafanelli, Flowers, Havens, Thackrey, Carlisle, Cline, Mike Dashe, Robert Mueller, Silver Oak, Unti, Cloudy Bay, Fred Brander, Craig Jaffurs, and Lane Tanner. </P>
<P>Our patron saint, Hotei, is one of the seven lucky gods of Japan. He was a plump, exuberant fellow, known for his unabashed indulgences -- think of him, essentially, as the Japanese equivalent of Bacchus. The Hotei Wines Japan team is composed of a baker, a banker, a wine maker, a writer, two bon vivants, and our mascot, the dachshund Basho, the original party animal, who manages to be majestic and dignified on about three inches of legs.
